We designed our 2-Year Accelerated J.D. Program for seasoned professionals and highly qualified applicants seeking to enter the legal profession in less time than the traditional 3-year J.D. model.

Barry University combines traditional and innovative teaching methods to provide a dynamic, professional program. The JD curriculum is designed to develop student's analytical ability, communication skills, and understanding of the codes of professional responsibility and ethics that are central to law practice.

The Law Degree Program is a one-time offering of a four-year program being delivered primarily in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Graduates of the program will possess the necessary skills to meet the growing demand for lawyers. It will increase access to justice for Nunavummiut. Historically, criminal law has been the area of law dominantly practiced in Nunavut. With more legally trained Inuit, it is hoped that other areas of law will start to take more shape in our jurisdiction, such as corporate law, and family law.

The Degree in Law and Legal Consulting is designed in such a way that we will expand your entry into the labor field, since legal consulting currently represents a prevailing social need, since there is no human activity in society that is not mobilized through the laws and its regulation through the institutions and bodies created for this purpose, promoting a culture of legality in the face of a growing and changing rule of law, in your graduation profile you will handle novel and advanced concepts of legal development, legal assistance, human rights and constitutional among others. During your training journey, you will make visits to government institutions, notaries, or legal consultancies, which will allow you to learn about your future professional work, in this way you will visualize the challenges that you will have to face working prospectively as it brings to your training journey the problems that you will have to solve is a student thinking about the possibilities of the future consultant.

The Foreign Lawyer Program creates an opportunity for those who have earned a law degree abroad and practised law outside the United States to receive up to 28 advance standing credits, earning a J.D. degree upon completing 56 credits within two academic years.

While law schools have traditionally taught all students in the same way for all three years, at W&L Law, you will encounter a sequence of learning experiences rooted in the basic assumption that each year of law school should present new and different challenges while pushing you further along the continuum from beginning law student to lawyer-to-be. This allows the School to produce lawyers who are better positioned to provide valuable service to their clients and employers from the outset of their careers.

SULC’s Juris Doctor (JD) program offers professional training in the areas of civil (specific to Louisiana) and common law. The program aims to prepare its graduates with the skills and knowledge to be highly effective, competent, and ethical professionals who possess a deep sense of community.

The University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School has a full-time program leading to the JD, the first professional degree in Law. The Law School’s legal education program, combining our rich, interdisciplinary curriculum, varied co-curricular activities, and pro bono responsibilities, prepares our students for admission to the bar and serves as effective, ethical, and responsible members of the legal profession.

The combined J.D. and Master of Public Administration degrees may be earned in four years of classwork and an additional three months of the internship by enrollment in the joint degree program of the UNC School of Law and the UNC Master of Public Administration program. Admission to the law school and the M.P.A. program must be gained independently. A total of 86 semester hours is required for the J.D., including up to nine hours of coursework drawn from the M.P.A. curriculum. A total of 54 semester hours is required for the M.P.A., including up to 15 hours from the J.D. curriculum. Both degrees can be completed in a total of 116 semester hours, with prior approval of a joint degree plan of study. All degree requirements from both schools must be completed before the degrees are awarded.

The M.B.A./J.D. the dual degree program will consist of a minimum of four academic years of full-time study requiring students to complete a minimum of 63 credit hours through UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School for the M.B.A. and a minimum of 74 credit hours through UNC School of Law for the J.D. M.B.A. dual degree students are eligible to receive a maximum of 12 credit hours of elective credits towards their M.B.A. degree requirements from courses completed within the J.D. Program. J.D. dual degree students are eligible to receive a maximum of 12 elective credit hours towards their J.D. degree requirements from courses completed within the M.B.A. Program. Core curriculum and degree requirements are established by each respective program. Students are required to spend one entire academic year of full-time enrollment in each program, completing the first-year core curriculum of each program in its entirety, and then may pursue two years of joint study (year three and four) completing remaining graduation requirements across both programs. Students may also elect to complete two full years of study within the J.D. program before matriculating into the M.B.A. Program. All dual degree students are required to be enrolled in a minimum of one elective course per semester, per degree program, during the fourth year of study.
